The small Buenos Aires based side have spent much of their history languishing in Argentina’s lower leagues, but could make history next weekend.
The Primera B in Argentina will see 10 teams promoted this winter, with the Primera A changing to a controversial 30-team top flight in February.
Nonetheless, Temperley’s promotion would be deserved – they are currently 2nd in Group B, meaning they would likely earn promotion even without the new rules.
With only two games remaining they are sitting on 29 points – 5 behind leaders Union Santa Fe – though they’ve play a game more. Sarmiento and Crucero del Norte are both within three points of them and both have a game in hand, meaning it’ll be a nail-biting finish to the season.
